Position Overview:

As a Data Architect at Discovery Partners, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data models that ensure the integrity, accessibility, and security of our data assets. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to develop and maintain data architectures that support advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling principles, data integration, and proficiency with cutting-edge tools such as Databricks and Alation. As this is a 6-week engagement, your expertise in rapidly delivering scalable and secure data solutions will be crucial to the project’s success.


Responsibilities:


  • Design, implement, and optimize conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure that data models align with data governance and privacy requirements, supporting compliance and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into effective data architecture solutions.
  • Oversee data integration and transformation processes, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to data engineering teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in data architecture.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate data management tools and technologies, including Databricks, Snowplow Analytics, Alation, OneTrust, and Avo, to enhance data architecture capabilities.
  • Conduct regular reviews of data models and architectures, identifying opportunities for optimization and scalability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data architecture and management.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data architecture or data engineering roles.
  • Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, with a strong understanding of data design principles.
  • Proficiency with Databricks, Snowplow Analytics, Alation, OneTrust, and Avo, including experience with their respective ecosystems.
  • In-depth knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data transformation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and security standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering scalable and high-quality data solutions.
